Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is a valuable skill that promotes self-awareness, self-motivation and self-control in leaders and team members. Using the emotional quotient inventory (EQ-i 2.0®) assessment tool and /or the EQ360, our certified consultant assists participants to identify their own emotional strengths and opportunities for development. Participants also receive guidelines for managing their emotions and those of others to achieve effective outcomes in personal and professional relationships.

The Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance® Model (TPM) by Allan Drexler and David Sibbet is a comprehensive tool for understanding the stages of team development. It shows the predictable stages involved in both creating and sustaining teams. TPM is a system-wide framework for team development that has been used in multinational, cross-sector organizations for more than three decades.

Unconscious Bias Training
From Awareness to Action

Unconscious bias exists when we unconsciously have ingrained feelings, beliefs or attitudes towards certain people or groups. While unconscious bias is unintentional, it can lead us to judge or stereotype people. When left unchecked, it can influence important decisions in the workplace including hiring, promotions and daily interactions.

This session is focused on raising awareness of unconscious bias and steps we can take to prevent biased attitudes and behaviors from interfering with our decisions and interactions. The session addresses the meaning and types of unconscious biases, what it impacts and what can be done about it. Each participant will leave the session with actionable tips for managing their biases. They will also develop individual action plans to execute as they continue on their own personal journey to conquer unconscious bias.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

Youth Leadership Skills Training Program
Empowering the Future Leader

Youths and young adults benefit immensely from leadership, soft skills and life skills training in preparation for their future roles. Our Youth Leadership skills training program empowers them to develop the leadership skills they need to succeed in their personal and professional lives as they position themselves as leaders in their communities. Through interactive and experiential learning, program participants analyze their strengths, areas for development and set personal and vocational goals.

The program curriculum is arranged into 8 main units titled: Self-awareness, Self-leadership, Leading Others, Effective Communication and Presentation, Working as a Team, Interviewing Skills and Job Readiness Skills, Personal Financial Planning and Community Involvement.

By the end of the program, participants should be able to :

  • Define leadership and explain basic principles of effective leadership
  • Apply self-leadership principles for effective self-management
  • Demonstrate skills needed for working effectively with others including goal setting, effective communication, problem solving and conflict management.
  • Demonstrate financial planning and job readiness skills
  • Develop an action plan for participating in a leadership/volunteer role within six to nine months following the completion of the program

All participants are recognized at a graduation awards ceremony and receive a certificate of completion
